- Flash Chrome
Flash Chrome is used in many different applications. It can be used for plastic injection molds for longer life of the mold and its components. It is used very often in the printing industry for corrosion resistance on parts that are often exposed to moisture. Its not so much for wear resistance, but used more for corrosion with a little bit of hardness.

- Chrome Crodon
This is basically getting the surface that you are going to coat to a required roughness. This is done by using different kinds of grit and then shot blasting the surface before it gets chrome plating. Many of these parts are used for traction purposes when slick material is moved over the top of these parts.
- Cloudy Finish
Cloudy chrome just means that this particular finish is something that comes right out of the tank and it's a finished product. It's basically a tank finish with no further work done on the piece.
